The 89th National FFA Convention kicked off October 19, 2016 in Indianapolis, Indiana and lasted till October 22, 2016. Many Georgia FFA members were awarded for their handwork in proficiency areas, Agriscience research, and career development events and much more. Georgia FFA took home 21 proficiency finalist, 20 CDE wins, 102 American Degree recipients, 19 Georgia FFA chapters received a national 3-Star ranking, and Georgia had national finalists (top 15) in 22 of 24 divisions of the Agriscience Fair. Arabia Mountain had one National Talent Competitor Brittany Heath who placed top 15 and a National Delegate Iren Igbere. The 2016-2017 National FFA Officer Team was aslo elected and installed.
